Amazon FBA Wholesale
How to Evaluate a Wholesale Product Before Ordering
A profitable-looking product can become a poor order when demand, competition, fees or supplier risk is ignored. Use this practical checklist before investing.
Amazon FBA Wholesale product research is not only about finding a low buying price. A safe decision requires evidence that the product sells consistently, the listing is stable and the source is suitable for Amazon.
1. Confirm Real Demand
Review sales-rank history, estimated monthly sales and seasonal patterns. A short sales spike is not enough. Use a longer history to see whether customers buy throughout the year and whether demand is improving or declining.
2. Study the Buy Box and Price History
Check the average Buy Box price, not only today’s price. Sudden price drops can remove the entire margin. Review the 90-day and longer price history, then calculate profit at a conservative selling price.
3. Review Competition
Count active FBA sellers, study their stock levels and check whether Amazon is regularly present. A listing with too many sellers or dominant Amazon stock may be difficult even when monthly sales look strong.
4. Calculate Every Cost
Include product cost, VAT or sales tax where relevant, inbound shipping, prep, labeling, FBA fees and expected returns. Calculate both ROI and cash profit. Ezoomy normally looks for a margin that can survive normal price movement.
5. Verify the Supplier
Confirm the business address, company registration, domain, telephone number, payment details and wholesale terms. Ask whether the invoice contains the legal business names and addresses required for Amazon verification. Where needed, confirm brand authorization or distributor status.
6. Check Restrictions Before Payment
Make sure your account can sell the brand, category and exact ASIN. Check hazmat, expiry, meltable, oversized and intellectual-property risks. Keep written supplier communication and clear invoices.
Final Decision
A good wholesale product combines steady demand, manageable competition, stable pricing, acceptable profit and a verifiable supply chain. If one major part is weak, reduce the order quantity or reject the product.
